Towel Station
Objective
Provide a decorative space that complements the interior design to offer clean towels and dispose of soiled garments and towels.
Space Planning
Locate a towel station adjacent the locker area. Provide other towel stations adjacent the wet amenities such as pools or experience showers.
Design Features
Features:
- Provide millwork, niches, or furniture for decoratively displayed towels. This is a self service station for guests to grab clean towels. Towels are either folded or rolled.
- Towel stations located adjacent wet amenities might include chilled towels.
- Provide decorative millwork, niches, or furniture to discard soiled towels, robes and footwear. Guests drop linen into a cabinet through a large grommet into a cart or basket below. Design the cabinet to conceal soiled linen from direct view. Cabinet doors should open allowing wheeled carts to move freely in and out of the cabinet.
- The soiled cabinet interior may be viewed through the large grommet. Ensure the cabinet interior fits with the design of the space.
